NOT A BADGE OF POVERTY!

Many people, teachers especially (since they are my target audience) think that my mantra of "The teaching profession is not a badge of poverty" stemmed from the fact that I have lots of money, or I do not have needs, sometimes.

Here is a disclaimer. IT IS NOT EXACTLY SO.....😀😀 In fact, I am not yet close to it at all.

But, you see, the truth is that, in my career journey, I have gotten to that point where I understand that what makes you poor is not the current money or cash that you have at hand or in your bank account.

This is my own belief - No matter how hopeless your situation seems at this minute, as long as you have or possess what it takes to be rich, then, you are not poor! All you need is determination and diligence, to explore and nurture that which you have, unto fruitfulness.

Besides, my experience so far is a testament to the fact that we are meant to call those things that be not, as though they were.

You cannot manifest beyond what you belief. If you must be that thing that you desire deep down in your heart, then, you must first of all believe that it is possible.

So far, I have used positive words of affirmation in this teaching profession and things work out in my favor.

You might say I am beginning to spiritualize it. Yes, please. You have to get to that point where you know that the teaching profession is spiritual, and if you must succeed in it, you cannot separate God from your affairs, especially as it pertains to you touching and influencing the lives of the children under your care.

You must be confident enough to profess positive things even when you cannot see them appear yet. I can tell you it works. I confess what I want to be my reality.

If I say the teaching profession is not a badge of poverty, I am simply saying that it is a profession of wealth and I desire to see nothing but wealth.

I boast in the confidence I have in my unfolding realities. It is not because I have lots of money. I have needs too. I have not arrived. 😀😃😃

See this extract from my book:

You are not poor. The teaching profession is not a badge of poverty. Erase the ‘poverty’ mentality and be positive. From time to time, say positive things to and about yourself. Stop discussing how wretched you are in the public, especially in an exaggerated manner, with the aim of defaming the teaching profession.

When you begin to put the right things in place, you will realize that you are not poor. Meanwhile, poverty is a mindset. Remember, as a man thinks in his heart, so he is. The more you verbally profess with so much noise, that you are poor, the poorer you will become.

The fact that you earn less or sometimes lack funds, does not mean you should tag yourself ‘poor’ or portray yourself (in physical appearance) as a poor person.

Poverty should not smell in your words. No, it should not even be perceived in your dress sense. Your thinking faculty or reasoning/mentality should also not be laced with poverty. Think RICH! Wondering what that is? Intelligent thinking is Rich thinking.

The true poverty is when you lack wisdom, competence and the vital skills or values that can bring you wealth and fortune. As long as you are competent and you continue to develop yourself, don’t you ever sum yourself up as a poor person.

You are the one to determine your status, whether to be a rich or a poor teacher. You have both the knife and the yam in your hands. How you develop and position yourself will tell us the kind of teacher you are.

What kind of teacher are you? A rich teacher or a poor teacher? A paltry teacher or a reputable and prestigious one? Make your choice. You cannot continue to be poor and paltry.

So, it is not about money. It is about your thinking. When you begin to adjust your mindset about how successful you can be in the teaching profession, only then can you begin to enjoy the fruits.

Remember, I always say that, "you cannot enjoy anything good from something you detest or derive pleasure in ridiculing." If you so much enjoy ridiculing the teaching profession, your experience will not also be pleasant.

Watch what you believe and profess, in this profession.
