Teenagers in Marital Relationship
Speaking to teenagers, especially. Relationship is a big responsibility on its own. If you take it up at the wrong time, you may end up with an obscured vision and that may rob you the ability to unleash the potentials you have inside of you.
In your teen years, the most rational thing to do is to keep discovering yourself and building the capacity to bear the responsibilities that would come with relationship, later in life.
You can't afford to go into a relationship, unprepared.
Every individual has a purpose to fulfil. You carry a lot of values in you that must be explored. Marriage is not a purpose. So as a teen, that should not be your first concern or priority, in life. There is no point rushing it.
Take time to discover your purpose on earth. This ought to be your greatest concern, especially as a teen or a young adult.
A well-lived and fruitful life begins with self accomplishments and purpose fulfilment, not with marriage.
The teen years make up your foundation. And you must be deliberate about how you lay it. In the order of priority, a marital relationship should not be the first goal of a teenager. Take one step at a time.
During this period, be more consumed with knowing God and establishing an honest relationship with Him. Get acquainted with the assignments he wants you to accomplish here on earth.
If as a teen, you have become so engrossed with the thought of how to get a partner/spouse, then you have misplaced your priorities.
Again, relationship comes with distracting responsibilities. Take some time to get grounded in your purpose first, so that when relationship eventually comes, no matter how much it shakes you, it will be difficult for you to be displaced, uprooted or distracted from your purpose, because you have taken enough time to position yourself rightly.

I want to ask this, when a young lady still in higher institution decides to get married, does that mean she is not serious?
